“Before the festival-day of the Pasch, Jesus knowing that His hour was come, that He should pass out of this world to the Father, having loved His own who were in the world. He loved them unto the end.”
From the Gospel for Mass of Holy Thursday
On this day we give thanks to the Lord for the immense gifts He has given to us in the Priesthood and the Blessed Eucharist. He has so loved us, as to remain with us, always, even unto the end of time.
As we enter these days we get closer to the end of penances, let us renew our sorrows for past sins, let us truly desire to make reparation for our sins and those of the world, and let us offer all of small sacrifices for those intentions with which we began these seventy days.
And let us pray in a particular way in charity for priests and all the clergy and Bishops, especially for those who have abandoned their ministry or who have been forced from active ministry, and for an increase in vocations to the Priesthood and Religious Life.
